April Thank You’s with Pop of Petals
When you choose to shop with me, I always send a thank you and if you are local I make a tiny gift to go along with it. These are for my April customers, shown here in Flirty Flamingo.
For my cards I used coordinating Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper and a monochromatic butterfly from the Pop of Petals stamp set bundle.
My Card Recipe:
I cut my Flirty Flamingo cardstock in half at 4.25″ down the long side (a hot dog fold) and then I fold it in half again. My card measures 4.25″ x 5.5″. However, instead of having a vertical card I wanted a horizontal card and turned it side ways. I then placed it carefully in my paper trimmer and cut to the score line at 3″. I adhered the DSP and then I took my 1″ circle die and lined it up where I wanted the dip to be in the card. I adhered it with a post it and ran it through my die cutting machine.
For my inside panel I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock measured at 4″ x 5.25″.
Next, I used my four petal punch and cut out my butterfly, adhering it in the dip of my card. Last, but not least, I stamped the antennas on the butterfly and I stamped the ‘Thank You’ from Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set in matching Flirty Flamingo.
Next, I made a couple cute boxes for my customers using the Flirty Flamingo cardstock and coordinating DSP (just like my cards!).
My recipe for the Box:
- Cut your cardstock to: 6-7/8″ x 5-1/2″
- On the Long Side score it at: 3/4″, 1-3/8″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/8″, 5-1/2″, and 6-1/8″
- On the Short Side score it at: 1-3/8 and at 4-1/8″
Cut your DSP pieces at: 1) 2-1/2″ x 1-1/8″ (x 2) and 2) 1-1/8″ x 1-3/16″ (x 2)
I used liquid multipurpose glue and sealed the sides. Choose your front from your back and decorate as you desire. I added white cotton ribbon and white thread to close my box together. It easy holds some cute little Hershey kisses.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ve loved these gift ideas and as much as my customers do. Another side note: When I send them I write my thoughts on a post it on the inside. That way if they want to re gift my card and send it on, it allows for it. I love that!!!
See you soon!
