Pop of Color Using Pop Of Petals Bundle
I love the way this card came together and although I made it in three color options I love them all the same equally.
Here is the Recipe for my card:
I start with a 1/2 sheet of Thick Whisper White and fold it in half again, making a standard card size of 4.25″ x 5.5″.
I take another piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5.25″ and emboss it using my die cutting machine and the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder . I adhere that flat onto my card base and continue on.
I made a couple flag pieces using Basic Black Cardstock and coordinating cardstock (color of my choosing). I make the banner with my
Banner Triple Punch . My flags measure about 3.5″ x 3/4″.
I use the 1.5″ stitched circle die cut and run it through my die cutting machine on Whisper White. I wanted to stamp some black stripes onto my card and liked the water from the Fabulous Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Black Momento ink to stamp vertically all over my circle.
Next, I took another scrap of Whisper White cardstock and stamped three petals. I did one in the color of my choice (that matched my flag strip) and two stamped in Black Momento. I then punched them out and curled them with my Bone Folder.
I also needed some leaves. I decided on my Leaf Punch and after punching them out in Basic Black cardstock I used my bone folder again and gave them some dimension.
I knew I wanted a sentiment on my card and I had a perfect one to use. I chose the “that was AWESOME” sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp set. My daughter was voted Student of the Month for her first time ever (a goal we had been working hard on!) and she deserved a card from her parents reminding her how proud we are of her. It was quite the week.
Once I had all my pieces ready, I assembled my cards very quickly! I used glue dots, dimensionals and snail to adhere the different pieces to my liking. I finished the cards off with Basic Rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you again, soon!
