Evergreen Trees Hello with Winter Woods

Evergreen Trees Hello with Winter Woods

This is such a simple, luscious card. I grew up in the Evergreen State and I love the smell of evergreen trees along with how impressive they are.

When playing around with the stamp set Winter Woods, I knew I wanted to make a fun hello card with just those trees. The goal for the week was to use Winter Woods in a non-winter non-Christmas way.

Let me tell you how I made my card. I started with a 3″ x 5.5″ Whisper White cardstock that I stamped randomly with Evergreen Trees in Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped in full strength and also stamped off once, twice and three times.

Next I took a Basic Gray panel, measuring 3.5″ x 5.5″ and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Subtles 3D embossing folder. I adhered the two together with snail adhesive and then adhered them (with snail again) to my Shaded Spruce card base that measured the typical 5.5″ x 4.25″.

The only other thing I wanted to do was put a Hello on it. I used the Hello from Good Morning Magnolia. It was perfect! I stamped it in Shaded Spruce onto Whisper White and adhered it to a bigger strip of scrap, Shaded Spruce. I bound them together with Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card. I hope you love it as much as I do.

I’ll be seeing you again, soon!

xoxo,
