Rainbow Buffalo Check Background Using A Good Man
Isn’t this the best looking manly card ever? Who knew rainbows could be so masculine?!
I made this card during my A Good Man week, where I was featuring the stamp set all week long over on Facebook! This is something I do every week. I start on Friday with a Facebook Live and then the whole following week I feature the stamp set or products I used during my Live. It is a lot of fun and my customers enjoy the ‘featured product(s)’ I share.
A Good Man is a new stamp set this year in our annual catalog. I absolutely fell in love with it and enjoyed working with it.
The card was fairly simple to make, let me tell you how:
First I started with the buffalo check background stamp where I took several colors of stamp pads and stamped randomly all over it. I then took the stamp, huffed it (it’s a way to get it moist again) and stamped straight down onto Whisper White Cardstock. This is what created my rainbow background.
I choose a half sheet of Night of Navy cardstock cut at 5.5″ x 8.5″ and scored at 4/25″ (the hamburger fold). I took a piece of whisper white measuring 4″ x 5.25″ for the inside mat, which I chose to leave blank for my sentiment later.
To finish the front, I adhered the background check rainbow design flat to the night of navy with some snail adhesive.
Next, I took a scrap piece of whisper white and stamped my dad and daughter figure with my black memento ink and colored using my Stampin’ Blends and then cut it out. I took another piece of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine using the Pinewood Panels 3D Embossing folder. This piece measures 3″ x 4″. I used my triple banner punch to create a banner.
Last but not least, I added a piece of linen thread and tied it in a know. I adhered my people directly to the textured banner and then popped everything up with dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like my project and are inspired to create one like it.
I’ll be seeing you soon!
