Sorry For Your Loss Using Beautiful Day
When inspiration strikes I like to make a few sympathy cards to stash always for when you need them. I do not enjoy making cards for loss when I am experiencing loss so it is a great idea.
When I sat down to create this card I wanted to use the rosette from Beautiful Day stamp set and I wanted to play with large sorry from the Sorry For Everything stamp set.
I knew I was working with large images so I first cut my Whisper White cardstock at 3.75″ x 5″ and stamped the sorry in tuxedo black ink at an angle in the bottom right corner. I then took the rosette image and stamped it randomly in versa mark and tuxedo black and then covered it right away in clear embossing powder. I then heat embossed the images until the powder melted solid. I set it aside for a bit and got the rest of my card together.
I made a Daffodil Delight card base measuring the 5.5″ x 8.5″ scored in half at 4.25″ the hamburger fold.
I also cut a pear pizzazz mat measuring 4″ x 5.25″. I set aside a little extra too for the rest of my sentiment at the bottom of the sorry.
The final most beautiful part of my card is that I colored all of my roses with my Stampin’ Blends. I used Night of Navy light and dark, Daffodil Delight and the light and dark Granny Apple Green (because I don’t own the Pear Pizzazz blends). The two tones actually look good together. I mounted everything together using snail but before I adhered the mat to the base I grabbed for some Daffodil Delight ribbon. It finished off my card nicely.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this project and are inspired to create one similar.
