3D Thursday ~ July Customer Thank You Boxes
It’s been awhile since I have blogged a 3D Thursday. The day of the week that I show off something other than a card. I love 3D projects: boxes, fun folds, ornaments and it was about time I do it again.
These cute little boxes are what I gave my customers in July as a Thank you for shopping with me. They will hold anything: a tube of lipstick, mascara, small lotion, small candy or a thank you note for someone special.
These boxes look hard to make, but I assure you they are not. Let me tell you how:
Cut your cardstock of choice at 5.5″ x 8″ and on the short side score it at 1.25″, 2.5″, 3.75″, and 5″. Flip to the long side and score at 1.25″ and 6.75″.
Cut from the smallest line down to the second score on each side. Notch in ever so slightly. When you are done it will look like this:
Fold and burnish all your score lines and use liquid glue on the 1st and 3rd tabs on both sides. This will create your box. Then at the top of the box (the side that’s facing closest to you in the picture) round the corners so it makes a nice enclosure.
Last, glue on your DSP (designer series paper) and add your embellishments.
You will need two pieces measuring 1″ x 5.25″ and two pieces measuring 1″ x 2″.
I hope you love this project as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be seeing you soon.
