Leaf Punch Half Wreath Featuring In-Color Seaside Spray and Winter Woods
I did a whole week of working with Winter Woods, a stamp set in our annual catalog that I fell in love with last fall. Revisiting stamp sets that we sometimes forget about is easy to do when you love the stamp set. This is one of those stamp sets for me!
My finished card is beautiful!
It has a lot going on all around it. Let me tell you how I built my card from the beginning to completion.
I started first, by die cutting out a stitched circle framelit in Whisper White. I took my birch tree stamp in the new in-color, Seaside Spray, stamping off one time and then onto the circle, over and over, from side to side, creating a very soft, very luscious set of trees. I mounted the circle onto a larger framing circle in Lovely Lipstick, setting it aside while I worked on other pieces.
Next, I took a 4″ x 5.25″ whisper white piece of cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. I set it aside along with my card base in Seaside Spray measuring 4.25″ x x 5.5″.
I knew I wanted to also incorporate the new matching Seaside Spray 1/2″ (1.3 Cm) Scalloped Linen Ribbon but when I started piecing the card all together it was still missing that wow element. That is when I decided to add a half leaf wreath using our awesome leaf punch.
I started cutting out leaves in: Seaside Spray, Balmy Blue, Lovely Lipstick and Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
Once I started assembling everything the look was amazing and I was so pleased.
Last, but not least, I added the linen thread bow by looping several pieces together to make it multi dimensional.
What a finished card!
This card is a little top heavy and will use extra postage when mailing. But I don’t mind. The card is so beautiful that it is worth the hassle on my end.
Thanks for stopping by today! I will see you again, soon.
