[Wildfire] ~ Word of the Year Chipboard Sign
Do you assign a WORD for each year? A theme? A resolution? A mantra of some sort?
I do most of the time but I never put pressure on myself to assign one. For the longest time I did not even know what my word might be this year. Sometimes the word is simple like love, happy, pretty…and sometimes the word is intricate. Either way the word is usually very person to the person assigning it. When I finally did decide on my word, it clicked.
One year I assigned the word GO. ‘Go’ for our family meant to be on the go. To be adventurous in our go. To move forward. It was a perfect word for what turned into a very fun year.
This year I assigned the word wildfire! As I explained yesterday, I assigned the word ‘wildfire’ because I feel on fire and passionate about this coming year. Check out yesterday’s post for more information on the meaning of wildfire.
In honor of my word for the year, I decided to take some chipboard and make a fun sign to hang in my craft room. I thought it would help me to keep focus. (I need all the help I can get!)
Supplies I used:
- Taylor Expressions Chipboard
- DSP (designer series paper) from the Gather Together paper stack
- Lettering in Whisper White using the Hand-Lettered Prose dies
- Pool Party and Pretty Peacock paper scraps cut into trees from In The Woods dies
- Liquid Multipurpose Glue
- Glitter Spray over the entire project
The chipboard from Taylor Expressions looks like this:
I hung my word sign right there on my class vision board. This will be a beautiful reminder throughout the year.
A little bit different of a project today but a fun one! I hope you enjoyed this project. If you assigned a word for the year would you please share it with me and why? I would love to be inspired.
See you soon!
