Special Someone Party Raccoon in Bermuda Bay and Terracotta Tile

Special Someone Party Raccoon in Bermuda Bay and Terracotta Tile

This stamp set, Special Someone, is so fun to play with! I knew I had to make a bright, fun, spirited card with this cute raccoon. (Yes, it is not lost on me that raccoon are dirty and trashy, but NOT THIS ONE!) My cute trash panda has glitter on her!

My color palette started with Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Terracotta Tile. So bright and vibrant and it turned out fantastic.

After I picked out my color pallette I started building the different elements for my card. I first decided to break into my brand new Detailed Hearts Die.

For this element I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock and I sponged Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight all over. I then ran it through my die cutting machine at an angle. I didn’t need it perfect, I just wanted some texture to my card.

Next, I wanted to create my focal point with my adorable Basic Grey and Momento Black raccoon. I also created three balloons (in the same color scheme) and fussy cut them out. After I placed them where I wanted them and was happy, I found an oval framelit that fit perfectly and ran it through my die cutter.

Finally, I was ready to build my card.

I chose Bermuda Bay for my card base, in the hamburger fold style, measuring 8.5″ x 5.5″ and scored down the middle at 4.25″.

I adhered the Detailed Hearts piece down first with some liquid multi-purpose glue and then. I adhered three different strips of scraps.

Finally, I attached my racoon focal point, covered her in wink of stella, added my sentiment with a flag and attached a cute baker’s twin bow.

I wanted to show off the ease in making this adorable card and used it as my topic in my Facebook LIVE last week. (I’ll reference my LIVES at the end of this post for those who are interested in checking it out!)

During my LIVE, I made the Terracotta influenced card. Same process, same idea different colors. I used Terracotta with the deeper Crushed Curry yellow. It still turned out stunning! Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you love my glamorous raccoon and these birthday cards!

See you soon!
