Hello There with Cute Cactus Flower and a Desert Lizard
This card turned out AWESOME! Anytime I create something exactly as I was imagining it I get pumped. It makes my heart happy when my creative juices are flowing and this card was SO MUCH fun to make.
I used the brand new Sale-A-Bration FREE stamp set, The Gang’s all Meer, to create my card.
I first started simply with stamping and sponging. I cut a piece of Whisper White from the stitched rectangle framelits and stamped my scene. I first stamped in Granny Apple Green but nothing showed up. So, I redid it in Momento Black and it was perfect. The green made the cactus flower get lost and the black made it pop!
Next, I created masks out of post it notes and covered each cactus flower and my little lizard. I sponged in crumb cake on the bottom and Pool Party on the top for sky, but because we are in the dessert I took a little calypso coral and went over the pool party to create more of desert skyline. I think it turned out perfectly.
I then used my Stampin’ Blends and colored in my flowers and lizard and I added the sentiment ‘Hello There’ from the Here’s a Card stamp set.
Once my scene was created I mounted it onto a Pear Pizzazz mat and added a little flag with some Crumb Cake ribbon I had laying around. It was the perfect touch. I added all of that to another mat in Terracotta Tile. It was the perfect color pop I wanted.
I ran another piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, measuring 4.75″ x 3.5″, through my die cutting machine with our new Coastal Weave embossing folder. I attached it to a Crumb Cake card base measuring 8.5″ x 5.5″ scored down the middle at 4.25″ (hamburger style).
To finish the card, I added the Terracotta Tile scene with dimensionals and ta-da my card was complete. On the inside I matted my Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz to create more color pop. I left it blank so I could write everything I wanted to say.
I hope you love this card as much as I do and will consider this as one of your Sale-A-Bration stamp sets when you select yours!
