Purple Dominated Beautiful Friendship Card
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I have a beautiful card to show you. It is for the girl friends in your life and it is even more stunning in person.
I don’t know about you, but I have that one friend I just can’t do life without. Don’t get me wrong, I am madly in love with my husband of eighteen years, but I need those girl friends, that tribe, to get life done. To feel sane ~ to giggle with. Everyone should have a friend like that and if you are lucky you get to see her on a regular basis, like I do.
This card is for that girl! Your person.
I made this card using the Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set. If you have not seen this stamp set, I recommend you check it out. It is gorgeous and I enjoy making cards with it.
My color palette was simple. I stayed wth Rich Razzleberry and BLackberry Bliss.
The card itself is easy to make. I started with the hamburger fold style in Rich Razzleberry cardstock, measuring 8.5″ x 5.5″ and scored down the middle at 4.25″.
I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5″ x 3.75″ and randomly stamped a floral pattern all over the card. I avoided the middle simply because I knew I would be covering it up.
I matted that piece to a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock, an 1/8″ bigger on all sides. I then adhered all of it to the cardbase.
For the focal point I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and did a few more leaves and roses and fussy cut them out. I stamped my sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and used my die cutting machine to cut it out with a circle framelit. I matted my sentiment with a shaded spruce scallop circle.
Before adhering the circles to my card, I zig zagged a piece of Whisper White ribbon. To get the ribbon to stick I used tear-n-tape. Then I mounted the circles with dimensionals.
Finally I added wink of stella to the entire card and made it shine!
The inside is kept simple. Hope you like it. I wanted lots of room to write some thoughts.
It is beautiful! Over on Facebook I have a Boomerang of the glitter finish. You should go and check it out. Follow me, too, if you like! I love the support.
Thanks so much for stopping in and Happy Valentine’s Day!
