30 Day Card Challenge ~ Taco -bout Awesome!

The perfect card for the last Monday in my 30 Day Card Challenge, April 2020. It’s also right in time to make a few for Cinco De Mayo next week. Who’s with me?

Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder #150646

Create projects with the look of hammered metal using the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.

It’s easy to make a great impression! Just place flat cardstock in this embossing folder, run it through a die-cutting and embossing machine, and out comes cardstock with a bold textured design. 3D embossing folders take embossing to the next level, with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders—great for card fronts and accents.

* 1 folder
* 4-1/2″ x 6-1/8″ (11.4 x 15.6 cm)
* Use with a die-cutting and embossing machine

Color Palette

I love primary colors. In this card, I chose the dsp because it looked like hot sauce and melted cheese. I know, kind of a stretch, but not really!?

My Card Layout

Watch the video for a great visual of how quickly this card came together.

I started with cutting my Pacific Point cardstock in the hamburger fold at 5.5″ x 8.5″ and scored down the middle at 4.25″.

On the inside, I left it blank for writing but I took a piece of Daffodil Delight, measuring 4″ x 5.25″, and Whisper white, measuring 5″ x 3.75″, and married them together for a nice inside.

For the focal point, I stamped and colored my taco with blends. I cut it out with a square framelit and married it to a scallop square framelit in Real Red.

I attached Whisper White Flax Ribbon from my ribbon stash to create some fun texture.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your day is awesome!

xoxo,
